Rule shines at Y Nationals

13-year-old Remedy Rule took home a nice honor from the 2010 YMCA Short Course National Championships held earlier this month in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Rule, swimming for the Waynesboro Family YMCA, won the women’s 500-yard freestyle C final in a time of 4:55.26, besting competitors as old as 18.

Rule qualified for the final second with a time of 4:59.29. Her showing in the final beat the rest of the field by nearly a second overall.
