biggest shed challenge 2018Now is the time to shed our winter weight and prepare for warmer weather. Losing weight can be more fun when having a group of people support your ups and downs. We will have weekly tips, different challenges, and opportunities to share a monthly meal. Non-YMCA members are welcome to join. Join our Biggest Shed Challenge today!

1. We are measuring the percent of body weight lost. The calculation is the take your actual weight (today) and subtract it form your initial weight. Then divide that number by your initial (starting) weight.
2. The first weigh in will be on Friday, February 9, 2018. The change from the initial weight needs to be sent to or text to 540-471-1925 or left in Aquatic Department mailbox upstairs. Please include your name. The final weigh-in will be on 4/28/18 .
4. Weigh-ins will occur every Friday on your own scale. You can leave this in the form of -1 or +1 or no change. Please include your name. All weight needs to be turned in by 6:00PM.
5. There is a $20.00 registration fee which “MUST” be paid by your second weigh in.
6. You can Join at any time during the first two weeks (but it will be harder to win)
7. There will be a $1 penalty if you miss weighing in or hand in your weight late.
8. All monies owing to the pot should be paid during the time of weigh in or prior to the following weigh in. (So, if you have a bad week, be prepared break out the spare change)
9. The winner will be the person who loses the largest percentage of body weight.
10. All the money will be divided 45% to winner, 2nd (30%), 3rd (20%) and 4th (5%). Money can be a nice motivator.
