Yoga
Instructor: Carrie Shuler
Yoga is an integral practice that combines physical postures, breathing practices, relaxation, and meditation. Yoga increases strength, flexibility, and stamina, reduces tension, improves circulation, and stimulates the immune system.
Recent medical research shows that yoga helps manage or control anxiety, asthma, back pain, blood pressure, chronic fatigue, depression, stress, and other conditions. But many find that the greatest benefit to be the sense of ease and well being that accompanies being comfortable and at home in one’s body and mind.
As a needed balance in today’s fast-paced, goal oriented society, yoga teaches patience, self-understanding, poise, learning when to surrender and when to exert, allowing one to interact with clarity and compassion in everyday life-where it really counts.
