2013 Commonwealth Games

Hunter-fly-300x173The Waynesboro Family YMCA and SMAC Swimming are proud to bring to Waynesboro the Subway Commonwealth Games this June 21-23.  The Subway Commonwealth Games is the largest outdoor swim meet in the state of Virginia with more than 600 athletes competing in three days of open-air, mountain-viewed swimming.

SMAC Swimming is the longest-standing year-round competitive swim team in the region and committed to building excellence – in and out of the water.   A meet of this size and magnitude simply can’t be done by a small and dedicated group of parents.

The City of Waynesboro generously provides War Memorial Pool and the Office of Tourism provides unmatched hospitality in welcoming these athletes and their families to our community.

The sponsors listed below are critical to the success of the meet and the engagement of our swimmers, coaches and officials.  Please thank these businesses for supporting swimming by stopping in, saying hello, and patronizing them.

Take care of the businesses that are supporting youth programming in the region.  Thank you!
